🚂 Who is ERREC, and why are we fundraising for the Jane Marie?

Hey everyone! Some of you might be wondering what ERREC is all about and why we’re working so hard to save the Jane Marie railcar. Here’s our story 👇

I’ve been a railfan for most of my life. After finishing school and earning my degree in office skills, I worked a few jobs that weren’t really “me.” What really reignited my passion was volunteering at the Wheels Museum, where I spent years working on layouts and helping with the Silver Iris railcar.

In 2022, I decided it was time to take that passion further and founded Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation (ERREC) – a nonprofit dedicated to railroad preservation.

Our first project was to save the Santa Fe Redwood Empire car. We fundraised and promoted it at events, but sadly it was sold before we could secure it. We tried for other cars, but none were the right fit.

Then came the Jane Marie ❤️ – the perfect fit for our mission. For the past four years, we’ve been raising funds to bring her home, preserve her, and use her as a mobile museum to share railroad history with future generations.

🎯 Our Goal:
We’re aiming for January 2026 to bring the Jane Marie home — though we’re still exploring the possibility of moving her as early as this September via UP and BNSF.
